Last stretch

The dancing, swirling smoke streak

that rose from the last ember when it died

The long, thin, twirling smoke streak

resides inside me instead of my soul

howling through the black chimney

the flames turned embers lasted a while

leaving behind a cadaver and the streak

The radiating pain, I am relieved,

has perished from my chest, I believe

should I gather logs once more;

The purpose of my journey

disappeared in the noise of life

this echo didn’t reach my digits or core

Woodpecker woods

Come with me, into my woodpecker woods,

come and see the circular paths,

gone are the leaves and the buds in the woodpecker woods,

noises, voices in the barks of the birch,

scattered feathers all over the place,

no fruit bearing in the grove,

eyes of owls, woodpeckers in my woods,

staring, baring no clemency,

blackness and shadows they follow me,

in the woodpecker woods,

come and see, dance with me!

go and try, you’re in my path,

the forest is silent, you might be swoon,

you’ll never leave the woodpecker woods

Jealousy

Walking through cobbled stones and twisted streets,

Bring on the wind and I won’t leave my love,

Last tears of the summer flowers will last until the next spring,

No love is found, in easy minds of mine or your friends, who’ll mock us for

Cherishing our love as we do.

Please do tell, my friends; what do you talk about me,

As it is for yours to keep.

And talk about our love, as it is not,

Because you will only learn about yourself.

Please, lighten the burden, when we can’t see the togetherness,

But do not try to bring us down, when we stand strong.
